Once there lived a father and a son in woods. It was so thick that even a sunray could not penetrate through it. They were huntsmen. They sought for food by means of huntung. Since father was aged, his son used to go for hunting.

Once he went to the deep forest where he could get a good prey. But he did not see any animal. He was very hungry and sat near a tree. Suddenly he heard a strange sound. He turned and noticed that four leopards were chasing a deer. But the deer was so tired that it came near him and stood berore him. The leopards saw him and ran away with fear. He was so happy because he thought he had a good hunt. He took an arrow and placed it on the bow and he was targeting the deer. Suddenly, he stopped targeting the deer because the deer did not escape from him. He realised that the deer came for refuge. He patted the deer and said, " Go and live". He went home empty handed.

The next morning he said, " Father, today I'll definitely bring some meat to you ". The father said " Ok my son go ahead; I'm so fond of the deer meat and it is a long time since I ate it ". " I 'll fulfill your wish ", he replied.

The son pitched the tent beside the still water. He went in and waited for the deer. He waited throughout the night, but the deer did not come. The sun rose and he came out of the tent. At that time, a deer came near him. It was scared and did not know the way. So it entered the tent. After a moment, some hunters came over there. They asked him " Friend, have you seen a deer running? " " No, my friends ", he replied. They believed his words and left the place. Suddenly the deer came out of the tent, ran towards the bushes and disappeared. The hunters saw this and asked him " Friend, why did you tell a lie? We believed your words ". He replied, " Friend, you chased the deer. But the deer entered my tent to save its life. My heart moved with compassion. So I lied you ". The hunters said, " You are also a hunter. You could have killed it and we could have shared it ". He replied " no my friend, how could I do it? You are the owner of that deer. Since you chased it. I had no authority to kill it ". The hunters were amazed and said " Friend, you are a kind man. May God keep you safe and healthy ! " After they went away he returned home.

The next day the son said " Father, during the last two to three days I did not get any animal. But today I will definitely bring the deer meat to you ". The father said, " Son, I know that you have found the deer, but allowed it to escape. I appreciate your compassionate heart. If an animal comes seeking help for its life, definitely we should help it ". Further he said " Son, go ahead and bring the deer meat. Today I will come with you; I want to see your hunting ". " Surely, my father, please come with me. I will promise you that I will definitely hunt the deer. I will never return home until I get it? ".

Both of them went to the deep forest and pitched the tent. And the son said, " Father, please stay here, I'll come back after some time." And the father went inside the tent. After a while he felt bored inside and came out and relaxed. Suddenly the deer came running towards him and entered the tent. The deer was tired. After a moment his son came running and asked his father, " Father, did you see the deer? " I had promised you to give the deer's meat. I will definitely hunt the deer. I will never leave the deer! I will definitely kill the deer and I will fulfill you wish!!
