What do they have in common
a servant and a child?
Everything seems big to them.
They are small in their own eyes.
They do what’s in front of them.
They do it with a focused delight.
Whose greatest in the kingdom?
Look not to the world to get this right.
The least and the last
The remnant, the unseen.
I am to welcome such as one
who knows truly how to believe.
They leave a trail behind them
of wonders and signs.
Those are the type
who can truly open blind eyes.
Should I perhaps see a child,
I think I know a way to discern.
They are the ones who look around
with open eyes of wonder.
