There was a beautiful campus
And there was fun all around
All the students played merrily
Beside greeny bushes
In the midst there was an itching tree
It was itching and itching and the students
suffered
School officials sent George Clifford
He reported that it had to be removed
They sent many a woodcutter
They cut down the tree
But the tree appeared again
The suffering of the students returned
School officials uprooted it
And the students played in peace.
