We all look for that one thing that will satisfy our souls,
we wonder why we feel so empty, what will make us whole
We wonder why we're here and what we are living for,
With every breath we search for answers knowing that there must be more.
We cry out for something true, something that satisfies,
searching and seeking not knowing that He can not be found with our natural eyes.
Once more we ask the question,"what will satisfy this heart of mine?"
As we wonder, is there a God..and the answer I will find.
As God saw the hunger in His child's eyes,
He wept, knowing that the answer some would never find.
We will all find something to fill our emptiness leaving still our hearts to cry,
And will we ever hear the voice of God saying to our lonely hearts, "only I will satisfy."
