Mother Did You Know

Mother, Did You Know?

Mother, did you know?
That your baby girl
Will someday
Write a poem?

Mother, did you know
That my pen will praise
Your faith
That never wavers?

Did you know?
That your gentle heart
Pours pure-
Sustaining love?

Oh, mother, did you know?
Each day I wish
To hear your voice
To sing to me and hear you talk?

Mother, did you know
As you utter your prayer
You touch my heart
Deepen my faith?

Mother, did you know
Each heartbeat that you make
I thank God for each moment
Your life is such a gift.

Dedicated to my 90 year old mother who has Alzheimer’s. May God bless her heart and all the other mothers battling the same debilitating condition.

A wonderful tribute to your mother! May God bless and keep her. My mama went on to be with Jesus in Jan 2001. Sure do miss her!

What a lovely tribute. Is there anyone like a mother? I believe a mother's love is the closest we can come on earth to the love our Father has for us. I will stop reading for a while now to lift you and your mother to the Lord in prayer. Be encouraged.
