Happiness is...


Happiness is a state of mind.
It is not what one seeks and will rarely find.
It is waking up each day,
Counting one’s blessings and laying or kneeling to pray.
It is relinquishing thoughts that give rise to discontent.
And accepting what we have as heaven sent.
It is not coveting what God has given us not.
But making due with what we’ve got.
For it is by cheerfully doing what God has given us to do.
That we find peace, joy and, yes…happiness, too!
