On one silent night I cried
But did not know exactly why
I refused to hear God’s gracious words
Because all I could think of was my hurt

The more my past came into mind
Molestation, abuse, neglect from my mom
Marital abuse and death of my child
My sister’s abuse and how my father died
My lover and friend rejects me now
I made the mistake to try and put an end to it all

But, what a mistake it surely was
Because now I sit here behind these walls
My only cry now is to God
To grant me mercy, grace and forgiveness

Now, to my husband and children
I do plead that you would love and forgive me.
