Did you hear God's voice today,
In the quiet recess of your mind?
Somewhere in the passage of many hours
Did you glimpse his unseen sign?

Perhaps the sunrise spoke to you
Surprising slumber with golden charms
As casting all your dreams aside
You yielded to daylight's hopeful arms.

Or did the trees with upstretched branches
Striving to touch the heavenly realm
Speak just the word you needed most
When cares of earth had overwhelmed.

But maybe the clouds grew thick and dim
And you couldn't see or sense his call,
So hope held on to the slightest ray,
And that was the best lesson of all.

And as the sunset with golden crown
Pronounced a blessing on the fruitful day,
Did you see the message written there--
God's love for men will always stay.
