Mothers often tell their children when lightening throws a spark or two
“God is just taking your picture”, but what if those words were true?

What if God designed a camera that could zoom in on your day
Taking photographs at random, to hang in heaven for display?

Would his lens find strength and beauty in the child he caught off-guard
Planting seeds in souls of others, tenderizing hearts grown hard?

Or has the world become your focus with its power to distract
Would the God-sized shutter click without your dignity intact?

Would God’s camera find you sharing peaceful words of love and grace
Or would stress and irritation be expressed upon your face?

God’s mighty eye is fixed within you snapping pictures of your mind
Flashing light into dark places, exposing thoughts of every kind

So don’t wait for strikes of lightening to confirm God’s watching you
His photo album spans your lifetime, smile and you’ll improve the view.
