Abba Father hear my cry.
All I have, Lord, here am I
Hold me closely
Guide me still
Bend me, Mold me
To Your will.

I need you more today, Lord, than I did yesterday. I draw from Your strength and power ever day and ever hour. As a child of the King, oh, to climb up in Your lap and look into Your compassionate eyes and tell You how badly it hurts right now.

Father, I am thankful that You are drawing near to me as I cry out to You. I am so thankful for Your protection and provisions. Your love is forever and right now too.

I am reminded that I am in need of forgiveness and “do overs.” I must grant the same opportunity to others: to the one who is hurting so deeply that they lash out at others; to the one so deep in depression that they forget to look up to the Light; and to the one who desires to do the right thing, but continues doing the opposite (Romans 7).

I am thankful that my Redeemer lives. He is the Deliverer who provides streams for me in this desert. Oh, how I will appreciate that next mountain when I get there. I’ll look back and see how Daddy God received all of the honor and glory for my present pain.

Thank You, Daddy God, that hardships draw me ever close to You and give me deeper glimpses into Your heart, Your character and Your being.
