Someday I will call Heaven home
This earth I’ll leave behind
I now can see, by saving grace
Though once my eyes were blind
Streets paved with the purest gold
I hope to one day see
But most of all I long to feel
The change God makes in me
Harbored fears within me
Cease to exist at all
Guilty shackles of regret
Shall break their grasp and fall
My mouth will form no angry words
Despair will be cast out
The joy within my newfound skin
Will leave no room for doubt
Receive me quickly, Heaven
Pearly gates thrown open wide
My vain and selfish worldly cares
Forever cast aside
