Come and See

I traveled alone in the dark
no glimmer of light, not one spark
until someone spoke to me
and lovingly said...Come and see

I followed this voice to the light
but I could not see the source so bright
wondering what has caused this to be
again I heard...Come and see

I searched around, both high and low
still from where this light came, I did not know
Who, who I asked, shined this light for me
Gently spoken...Come and see

Still not understanding from where
shines this light at which I stare
How did this light come to be
the voice echoed...Come and see

Frantically frustrated I sought
from what source was this light brought
who then, set this light free
again and again...Come and see

Not from my work was it revealed
from the source of light, I was healed
Humbled and broken I fell to bended knee
It was Christ who said...Come and see
