So many have denied Him
They turn away
From the promises He gave
With flippant waves
Instead they rely on man
To come and save them
Then cry and moan
As they fall deeper
Into darkness

With love and compassion
I come before you
Telling of the wonders
Of my Lord and Saviour
Yet with flippant waves
You laugh and jeer
Where was your God
When disaster fell
How could He allow
So many to suffer
If He loves us as much
As you try to tell us

My God is a gentleman
If only you knew
If only you had realized
When you denied Him
You expelled Him from our schools
Rejected His presence
In your life and our government
Saying He doesn’t belong there
You told Him you didn’t want Him
Didn’t need Him in your life
My God is a gentleman
He stood aside
Granting you your wishes
He is biding His time

I will not stand by
And watch you perish
I love you too much
To see that happen
I will always be here
Praying for your salvation
And plant His seeds of hope
Deep within you
I know His love
His awesome power
I am praying that you will know it too

Then with joy and humility
I will watch the transformation
As God waters His seed
And lets it grow inside of you
He is stronger than you know
He will not give you to Satan
He is prepared to fight
The battle with you
He wants you to live
With joy and hope
And walk for eternity
In paradise with Him

With His love and grace
His Victory is in you
Just like a caterpillar
Coming out of its cocoon
In beauty and splendor
Spreading its wings
So it will be within you
As you accept His presence
Just reach out your hand
And ask for His mercy
Seek His grace
Knock at His door
It will always be open
He is waiting for you

My God is so patient
He wants you by His side
To live a life renewed
With joy and hope
A life everlasting
