“The Battle is Won!” I said


“God is my Refuge!” I said,
to the one who sought my doubt.
His Presence, my Haven
His Strength, my own,
to the one prowling about.

“The stains are gone!” I said,
“No more proof of iniquity.”
My heart, His home,
My Price, His Wounds,
to the god of impurity.

“The Battle is Won!” I said,
“You have no hold on me."
His Blood, your Doom.
His Life, your Death.
to the one, no more will be.

That one, we’ll look and wonder,
Why fear consumed our being.
Through eyes of victory,
Along side our Victor,
Our Savior, Jesus Christ, The King!
