Want A Bargain?

The cost of a Snickers candy bar has risen in my lifetime from five cents to ten cents to twenty cents to thirty cents to ninety cents in 2005. The candy bar considered by Americans for more than sixty years to be its favorite may further escalate. In fact, someone recently predicted that if things continue the way they are going, America’s favorite candy bar may be $1.50 before too long. Likewise, when I began driving, gallon of gasoline was twelve cents a gallon. As of March, 2005, it is $1.99 a gallon!

In February, 2005, while conducting a group session, I tried to make a local telephone call from a pay phone when the battery of my cell phone failed. But I was unable to complete the call because I had deposited only a quarter. The rate had been increased recently to seventy-five cents. Inflation seems to spare nothing or no one.

In spite of price hikes on just about everything on earth, there is one thing that has never know a rate hike—that is, long distance charge for praying to Almighty God. It doesn’t cost any more today to send a prayer than it did 100 years ago or 6000 years ago. There has been no cutback in service. God is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 or 366 days a year for every customer that makes a call. The service is excellent—the best of all times! Considering the excellent service and the results, it is a wonder that more and more people don’t utilize this superb service more often!
