We take our sight for granted for we can see outside the windows and see all the beauty around us. If we ask a blind person or one who see only shadows, they would tell you their world is dark and dreary.
We take our hearing for granted for when we hear perfectlh, we hear things clearly and if you come into my world, we hear words that are distorted or we don't hear them at all. People make fun of us with hearing problems and forget how hurting this can be for those of us who can't hear and have to us sign language to talk.
We take speech for granted for we can communicate with words and talk and talk and I have found people who can't talk and some have lost their voice through sickness or abuse and are afraid to talk without someone yelling at them.
We take our minds for granted for we can use them to learn new and exciting things and as we grow older we tend to lose them and just give up trying.
We take our hands for granted for we have them to help us make things, cook, hold things, and especially hold our children if any. People without hands and arms must feel frustrated for asking for help and to try to do something simple like holding on to something.
We take our legs for granted fow we can go here and there without the help of machinery and artificial limbs and we can run and jump with our family and we don't have to dend on someone else for help.
We take breathing for granted for the breath of life is in our hearts and without it life cannot continue. All of us need to stop and smell the roses for we never know when it will be our last. Take care of your breathing and know that GOD is behind all of this and remember to thank HIM.
