Walk in the Spirit and you never fulfill,
Fleshly desires being against God's will;
For the flesh has desire from the earth,
That is a dire disease contracted at birth.

It is opposite of what the Spirit intends,
While God frowns upon since it offends;
And causes you to stray from His laws,
As sinful scars develop from the flaws.

But when guided by the Spirit fear not,
No longer under the law as once thought;
For the works of the flesh are very clear,
As against moral values God holds dear.

But fruit of the Spirit is of love and joy,
With tender hearted kindness to deploy;
The peace that fills your heart and mind,
Of having no such laws that are defined.

The flesh of Christ crucified on the cross,
So has passion and lust have taken a loss;
To live by the Spirit let it be our guide,
Not letting anger and envy to dwell inside.
