God has always been there for you
And he has proved that his love is true
He has sacrificed his one and only son
Who washed away all sins of everyone.

God is the source of a spiritual light
That leads us through the darkness of the night
He would never leave you alone in the dark
Because of the sheer love he has in his heart.

Trust me, he was there when you were a child
When you arrived he looked over you with a smile
You better believe he was there through the years
And he has been there, every time to wipe your tears.

He was there to watch you stumble and fall
And he answered every time you would call
God would never think of leaving you alone
You have to take the time to pick up the phone.

Without God you wouldn’t be here today
Don’t tell me he can’t hear when you pray
God will answer every single prayer
And I guarantee you that God will be there.

Why would you expect God to thank you
For the all the service to God that you do
Just think of all the blessings you receive
Because of your faith and the fact you believe.

God’s children are blessed with his love
He touches all of us from his throne above
Why would you think of having any doubt
When it’s God’s love you can’t live without.

God will always be there for you
And his hand is behind everything you do
Stop feeling sorry, there’s no need to cry
God still loves you and so do I.
