Author requests article critique

Today is the Day

Today is the day that I will turn the corner
Today is the day I will give my mind to God
I will present my self a living sacrifice
I will submit to his will
Walking in his way
Praying constantly
I will obey

Today is the day that I stop lying to myself
Today is the day I stop taking from others
I will not pursue wealth before the throne
I will not be selfish
Giving up on anger
Turning from conflict
I will despise sin

I will change, this is my last drink
I am gonna stop, after just one more line
I will stop seeing my friends husband, after...
I know it will not be to late for me
His blood was shed to make me free
So if I can just do these things one more time
He will wait for me today
It will all be just fine
