Do I Challenge the Heart of God?

All loving, all powerful...all gracious is God,
He...along my same path...has trod.
But when I have wandered...and willfully sinned...
Do I challenge the heart of God?

Do I...push to the limit...His capacity to care...
Show concern...for what happens to me,
Or did He expect..as my creation occured
That I'm about where He thought I'd be?

As the years rumble by...as a train on the track,
Destination assured...and on time;
I can feel that same level of sweet peace and rest,
As He proves...each day...I'm on His mind.

Just a few years of living is all that we have
Then eternity's threshold we cross;
But if God ever gave up or ceased in His care
He's not shown it..or deemed me as...lost.

So...almighty, all loving...ever present is He
Ever willing...doing MORE than His part,
While I dumbly wonder at such boundless love...
And whether...I'VE ever challenged His heart.

You've paused to reflect in this poem at the graciousness of God. The sincerity comes through in your appreciation of his bountiful goodness.

The style reflects the idea behind the composition, we go through life haltingly appreciating benign grace, but nevertheless grace abounds from a compassionate Creator. Well done!
