This is a day that God has made
And I look forward to see it through
I knew from the moment I opened my eyes
There was something he wanted me to do.

He wanted me to go to work with a smile
And say “Good morning” to each passer-by
And then offer to lend a helping hand
And to encourage somebody to try.

There are too many struggling people in the world
And a so many of them need some help
I remember a time that I didn’t have a dime
I remember those times and how I felt.

Sometime today in some kind of way
I am going to go that extra mile
There is something that God wants me to do
Some how I’m gonna make someone smile.
