“My Hiding Place”

When life seems to move in circles,
Yet I’m going nowhere at all,
Let me turn to look to You, Lord,
Upon Your holy hill
Let me take my eyes off me, Lord,
And thoughts that carry me away.
Draw me into the depths of Your Spirit
Into You, my Hiding Place.

I’ll be safe beneath Your wings, Lord
Though storm clouds rumble by
I know I need not fear, Lord
For in You I’ll safely hide.
No more striving, no struggling to go on
As I rest my life in Thee, Lord
In my weakness You are strong.

When it seems I’m standing still, Lord
And I can’t move or breathe or cry.
Give me power to keep going
By Your Spirit, I will fly
Take me to the heights of Your love
Where I can see Your face
Draw me into the depths of Your breath,
Into You, my Hiding Place.
