I never wanted...MORE...than I could count;
(My 'balance' shows...it's ALWAYS...been THIS way!)
I had few worries over...food and clothes
Beyond requirements...ONLY for today.

This 'walk' through life...will turn...and twist along;
Its pleasant paths may change to rocky trails,
But in HIS mercy...we progress...assured
HIS strength remains...though OURS...flaggs...and fails.

I never wanted...MORE...than was my share
To earn...that I might do my best for all
That HE had blessed me with who...needed ME...
Who...with THEIR wishes, on MY strength...could call.

The years may...emphasize...the weak, the frail...
That frame of dust...become a shell...and haunted
By dreams...and follies that could NEVER be...
Yet...in HIS loving care...I NEVER wanted!
