What is Love?

What is love?
Love.
Is it a word or a phrase?
A smile or praise?
Is it a glow in one's eyes?
Or a sudden surprise?
Can a dozen roses define it?
Or can a diamond's light shine it?
Love is not simply a feeling,
But it is a way to express healing.
It is not bound to words and emotions,
But its meaning stretches across many vast oceans.
Love is a choice that one makes.
A giant or maybe a small step of faith.

Love is compassion, honesty and trust,
It is humble, loyal and just.
Love comes in all shapes and sizes.
In fact, love takes form in many disguises.
Love is limitless to what it can do.
From a simple hug to a sincere thank you.
Love can change the darkest of hearts,
And then the healing starts.
Love is God's gift to you and to me,
By His only Son, His love sets us free.
Love is the choice He made on that tree,
The choice that someday we all might see.
Love is a never-ending gift.
Pass it along and let it drift.
Love is a choice and a chance that we all take.
It is a chain of hope that will never break.
Love comes from one's soul deep within,
Will you make that choice to let your love begin?

I just wanted to let you know that my love for you is engraved on my heart!

"Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."
1 John 3:18- New International Version

(Greeting Card Poem)
