Marriage
I was imagining my life like a large jigsaw puzzle, with pieces all sizes and shapes, and to make it into a single picture was the task I was to complete bit by bit each day.
The edges came first, that was the easy part, for at least one edge would be flat, and finding those four with two flat edges was a small triumph, the shape of the picture was coming into view.
After a time they all fit, and the outline was complete, but now came the center still undone - the colors all mixed up, the picture they held was indistinct, it just seemed an impossible to do and not much fun.
I would move the pieces around, trying this one here, and another one there, but there were just too many to try and fit in, I couldn't tell what the picture could be, I got discouraged and gave up in despair.
At the lowest point of my life, I breathed a tiny prayer and asked God to help make the picture of my life become clear, and the answer was so immediate, I felt Jesus right by my side, the faith and hope in my prayer had been all that was needed to show me that He'd always been so near.
I saw that He held the puzzle box, and the picture on the cover was me; not the me I was now, or the ones from the past, it was a brand new one, yet to be, and I knew that God would help put the puzzle together, for only through Him could I become all I could be.
Then God poured out His blessings and gave me even more, the picture on the puzzle changed as it came into view, and I saw that it was not to be just a picture of one, my dreams came true when I saw it included you.
Now the puzzle is an adventure to discover each day how the pieces will fit in the outline of our lives, and finding just the right place for each piece we pick up is the greatest joy, for they all fit just where we put them, our love has provided the key, and Jesus guides our hands as we put the puzzle together, He knows just where each piece should be.
I thank God each morning for the love that fills my heart, for the joy and happiness I have in you, for giving me my dreams, for fulfilling all my wishes, for making them all come true.
