American Idol

The real idol is God the Almighty
Not a person who wins on a reality show on TV
And not a singer, dancer or MC

The real idol is God above
He is the only winner
And the idol we should love

The real idol is God up high
Whose works have gone more than platinum and gold
Open your eyes; behold

God is to be held in *utmost* regard
More important than a new talent,
A record contract, record deal or making a CD
He is the *One* we should praise
Bow down and pray for light and forgiveness on bended knee

Exodus 20:4 and Deuteronomy 5:8: You shall not make for yourself an idol.

1 Corinthians 8:4: We know that there is no such thing as an idol in the world, and that there is no God but one.
