Healing
Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Another dawn soon will break.
I pray the Lord my heart to take
and keep it safely in His care,
to fill the void that's been left there.
If there is one thing that I want to be to the "church", the Body of Christ, it is an encouragement, a lantern that is filled with oil, prepared to meet the Bridegroom face-to-face. And perhaps I am. If I am, it is for His name's sake that He makes me so. In other words, if I am to represent the Most High, then I must also be a reflection of the Most High. But the fact remains, I am human.
I have needs. I have voids. Yes, the Lord fills them. But it's a daily filling, even a minute by minute filling. Healing sometimes comes immediately. Sometimes, it's slow and steady. But it never fails -- when one's faith is intact and their eyes are firmly fixed heavenward, God's Word will come through like rushing waters to bless those who fear Him. And that's what I rely on... His Word to come rushing in. And it does... always. And it always does... right on time.
Now I lay me down to sleep.
The Word of God my heart to keep.
Though this day is gone, I will
wake tomorrow set on a hill
of love like a gazelle; it's true --
so I can share that love with you.
The oddest thing happened this morning. I prepared this piece last night for the 25th Psalm and sent it to myself to review before posting when I woke up. But first, this morning, I opened my daily scriptures that I read via e-mail. I guess maybe the Lord thought I needed the confirmation. He never ceases to amaze me! This is what I found:
So they shall fear the name of the LORD from the west,
and HIS GLORY FROM THE RISING OF THE SUN;
for HE WILL COME LIKE A RUSHING STREAM,
which the wind of the LORD drives.
"And he will come to Zion as Redeemer,
to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,"
says the LORD.

The 25th Psalm:
(KJV)
[1] Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
[2] O my God, I TRUST IN THEE: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
[3] Yea, LET NONE THAT WAIT ON THEE BE ASHAMED: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
[4] SHEW ME THY WAYS, O LORD; TEACH ME THY PATHS.
[5] LEAD ME IN THY TRUTH, and teach me: for thou art THE GOD OF MY SALVATION; ON THEE DO I WAIT ALL THE DAY.
[6] Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
[7] Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me FOR THY GOODNESS' SAKE, O LORD.
[8] Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
[9] The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
[10] ALL THE PATHS OF THE LORD ARE MERCY AND TRUTH UNTO SUCH AS KEEP HIS COVENANT AND HIS TESTIMONIES.
[11] FOR THY NAME'S SAKE, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
[12] WHAT MAN is he that FEARETH the LORD? HIM SHALL HE TEACH in the way that he shall choose.
[13] His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
[14] The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
[15] Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
[16] TURN THEE UNTO ME, AND HAVE MERCY UPON ME; for I am desolate and afflicted.
[17] The TROUBLES OF MY HEART are enlarged: O BRING THOU ME OUT OF MY DISTRESSES.
[18] LOOK UPON MINE AFFLICTION AND MY PAIN; and FORGIVE ALL MY SINS.
[19] Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
[20] O KEEP MY SOUL, and DELIVER ME: let me not be ashamed; for I PUT MY TRUST IN THEE.
[21] Let INTEGRITY AND UPRIGHTNESS preserve me; for I WAIT ON THEE.
[22] Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

I'm thankful that He doesn't just fill us once, but continually! I'm also thankful that He allows us to be human. That's why I rely on His mercy and grace so much. Great post!
I knew you had the gift of Exhortation (encouragement) in big doses. It must be your primary or a twin primary to prophecy. Thanks for all your depth, inspiration, and en-couragement.
