Paul turned to Dina and Judith. "So, basically what happened is that all the disciples could see was the storm and the way it was causing their boat to get filled up with water. They were sure they were going to drown. At that moment they weren't thinking about the fact that God could stop the storm and save their lives. Jesus wasn't afraid, because He is God. He knew that He could and would stop the storm with His hand and a command. Because He is God, the wind and waves calmed when He told them to stop being rough. It's like what happened with me when I was depressed. All I could see was what was going on with me at the moment. I was sure the pain would never go away. Jesus Christ revealed to me that He still has a plan and a purpose for my life, so I no longer want to die. He got me through that storm."
Judith and Dina threw their arms around Paul's neck and cried tears of joy. "We're really glad you're still with us," Dina said.
As Paul hugged both his girlfriend and his little sister, he said, "I'm glad to be here with you, too. I love you both so much."
"I love you, too, big brother," Dina said as she kissed his cheek.
Paul kissed Dina's cheek. All of a sudden, he realized he had just told Judith that he loved her! He could hardly believe he had said that. He wondered if he should have said that. What if Judith didn't feel the same way? What if she only liked him a lot but wasn't quite in love with him?
Judith was looking at Paul. Her eyes were wide. "Paul, you just told me you love me!" she exclaimed.
Paul looked at Judith. "Yeah, I did," he admitted. "I'm sorry if I caught you off guard or made you feel uneasy."
Judith blushed. "No, not at all," she admitted. "I have been in love with you for years!"
Paul was surprised and happy at the same time. He pulled Judith close to him, and they shared a kiss. Once again, Dina thanked Jesus Christ for bringing such a nice girl into her brother's life. She also thanked Jesus that Judith was a part of her life, too.
