Pleading

“Oh, that You would rend the heavens!
That You would come down!
That the mountains might shake at Your presence.”
Isaiah 64:1
A cry for help.
A desperate cry for help.

Generally speaking, here in the UK today we are in urgent need for God to intervene.
OK, back in 2020 the Covid pandemic closed church meetings. ZOOM meetings were invented and continue in many churches today.
But we need God Himself to do something.
Sadly, there seems to be an amazing lack of feeling the need to pray.
Back in 1859 and 1860 in Wales there was an incredible Revival. It was a powerful activity of God the Holy Spirit convicting people of their sin and bringing them to a life-changing experience of Jesus as their Saviour.
Why?
They prayed. Many people gathered to pray in many different buildings, in fields, on mountainsides, even in mines. And sometimes those prayer meeting lasted for hours. Even young children joined in and took part!
And almighty God heard their cries.
He did indeed ‘Rend the heavens and come down’.
Hallelujah!
And He could do the same today!
