                       MY GREATEST WORTH

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthian 6:19-20 ESV

Should you be asked what’s your greatest worth, how would you reply? Some might reply, ‘my home is worth so much,’ or maybe, ‘I have this much in my investments.’ Another might reply ‘ children and grandchildren are my greatest treasure.’

But how many would declare; ‘the value on my soul!’ I value much the blessing God has gifted me in what He has provided in the 87 years of my life. All the years of my two marriages, the five beautiful children, their family’s. Indeed, the love and joy I receive through my family is such a wonderful blessing, but my greatest worth is the gifted treasure and value of my soul.

Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. 2 Corinthians 2:12 ESV

My true inheritancecomes not from the temporary things we see and touch every day, but God’s mercy and grace coming from His design and love. When someone asks you the value of your worth, how will you reply? Our greatest worth is eternal, not temporal!

 While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 NKJV

Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love Ephesians 1:4 ESV

Father, thank you for helping recognize what my true worth is, because you chose me before time began, amen.
