Let everyone be quick to hear,
Slow to speak, slow to anger;
Living for God as you revere,
And not appearing to languor.
The wrath of man does not produce,
Like the righteousness of the Lord;
For anger will not introduce,
Your humbleness will be ignored.
Put away all your filthiness,
Receive with meekness of the Word;
Stop all your rampant wickedness,
And start doing as you have heard.
