 The song, “Jesus Loves Me, This I Know,” is familiar to most people, But, do you know Him? And, if you do, you can know that He knows and loves you. Others may know about you, but Jesus KNOWS you!

 God is omniscient. He knows everybody and everything. But does he know you personally? Jesus spoke some very frightening words to some people who thought they had done wonderful works for Jesus. He said in Matthew 7:23 KJV, “I never knew you: depart from me.”  Jesus said to the religious leader, Nicodemus, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3 KJV) Are you born again?  If not, trust Jesus as your Savior from sin today. If you are born-again, the rest of this devotional is for you.

 The Psalmist said about himself as a believer, “O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.” (Psalm 139:1 KJV). All of Psalm 139 describes how closely the Lord knows us. Jesus said in John 10:14 KJV, “I am the good shepherd, and KNOW my sheep, and am known of mine.” Jesus, the Good Shepherd, knows us better than anyone else does, and even better than we know ourselves.  Because He is the Good Shepherd who knows, loves, and understands us, He can protect, nourish, provide for us, and comfort us better than even our closest relative or friend. 

 In Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV), the LORD said to His people, “I have loved thee with an everlasting love.”

 As a senior saint, you can be confident that Jesus knows and understands you. You can commit all your cares to Him and be assured that He will meet your needs.
