But it must start with Faith.

Our Lord is teaching me to walk on water. Now I know that I cannot walk on water and because I know this, I have not walked on water. But I believe in the Bible and if the Bible says that Peter walked on water, then he did actually walk on water.

I do know that there is a condition to walking on water. The condition is that Christ called to Peter to walk on water. He did not call anyone else to walk on water that day.

So next it is a matter of calling. You must listen to your calling. Then you must have the Faith that whatever Christ calls you to do, He will equip you to do this, even though in your mind you know you can’t do it. Christ called Peter to walk on water. Peter walked on water.

But then it happened. Peter remembered the worldly influences, lost his Faith, and he started to fall into the water. This is the damage that our worldly upbringing does to us. It is where the seed of doubt comes from.

This is why God wanted to separate His chosen people from the influences of the world and it took 40 years to get rid of these worldly influences.

Now the true dilemma. How do we make ourselves, in this world and not of this world and still be His Lights of the world at the same time?

Start your day in prayer and Bible reading. Fill your lives with God fearing people, good literature, movies, and activities. Then when you go out into the world keep all these influences with you and be that Light that God commanded you to be and not a sponge sucking up things of this world.

There are a lot of great people, books, movies, and activities out there that I am sure that God would approve of. Ask Him, He will tell you. In fact, He is waiting right now for you to ask Him.

Please don’t get me wrong. Immanuel, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible must always come first and stand above everything else, but God did put us into this world to learn. To learn, we must have an open mind to the things that God wants us to observe and sometimes to participate in. Finally, we must have Faith that God will take care of everything else.

Put your Faith in God
Listen to His Call
Let go of any worldly influences
Then go and walk on water with Him!
