The Hidden Battle in the Growing Tree: Kingdoms, Birds & the Coming King

In this compelling biblical exploration, Scripture clearly distinguishes between the present spiritual Kingdom of God — where the Holy Ghost dwells within believers — and the future physical Kingdom of Heaven that Christ will establish on earth. Through the mustard seed parable, the contrasting imagery of the raven and dove in Genesis 8, Leviticus 11’s clean and unclean bird distinctions, and Revelation 18:2’s warning of “a cage of every unclean and hated bird,” the Bible reveals both divine expansion and subtle spiritual conflict.

The narrative shows how adversarial fowls, representing unclean spiritual forces and devils, can temporarily lodge in the branches of the growing spiritual Kingdom of God. They operate like garden pests hiding beneath leaves, quietly draining life and working to devour the harvest from within — all while enjoying the protection and resources of the very tree that shelters them.

This dynamic bears a striking and sobering parallel to the concept of the Deep State: a hidden, entrenched network of influence that many observe operating within visible institutions of government, finance, media, and religion. Just as certain unclean fowls exploit the mustard tree’s expansive branches for concealment and advantage, the Deep State is an unelected power structure embedded deep inside legitimate systems — feeding on corruption, advancing its own agenda, and resisting exposure or accountability. Like the restless raven in Genesis 8 that went “to and fro” over the flooded earth, never returning to the safety of the ark, these influences roam and operate across moral and institutional landscapes, echoing Satan’s own activity in Job 1:7 and his title as “the prince of the power of the air” (Ephesians 2:2).

This analogy powerfully illustrates how spiritual realities often reflect observable patterns in a fallen world. Unclean forces and hidden agendas can thrive temporarily within God’s expanding kingdom on earth, much as entrenched powers function within broader societal structures — until the time of harvest and judgment arrives.

Yet the biblical story moves toward certain hope. The gentle dove in Genesis 8 kept returning to the ark and eventually brought the olive leaf, symbolizing the Holy Ghost, peace, and those who choose true refuge in Christ rather than settling in corruption. One day, the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God will fully reunite under Jesus Christ’s rule during the millennial reign. All adversarial forces, hidden pests, unclean fowls, and systems of corruption will be exposed, judged, and removed. Genuine shelter and righteous rule will then belong exclusively to redeemed mankind in Christ Jesus.

This narrative calls us to spiritual discernment and vigilance. Even when hidden influences seem deeply rooted and powerful, Almighty God keeps us. Stay close to Christ like the dove, walk in the light of Scripture, and you will find lasting security in His growing kingdom until the King returns to make all things right. Jesus is our sure hope, Amen!
