Senior Saints, God's Protection and Care

” And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” (Isaiah 46:4 KJV) “Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to everyone that is to come. (Psalm 71:18 KJV)

God will keep you safe until his planned time to send his angels to carry you home into his presence. (Luke 16:22 KJV).

In the midst of the trials and infirmities of old age, God is still always present with you.  “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Hebrews 13:5 KJV).  God is still alive, and He will keep His promises.

God is your Creator and remains so even in your time of old age, white hair, and weakness.  He will carry you through your rough times.

There is motive and purpose for living in the Psalmist’s prayer quoted above. Don’t forsake me, God, because I want to show your strength to the current generation.  I want to demonstrate your power as a genuine life example to my grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Even if your current circle of influence is no larger than your own family, live such a life that you will be a constant reminder to others of God’s grace and power in your life.  Spend increasingly more time with the Lord so you can demonstrate God’s joy and peace in your life. 

Take heart! God is with you! Continue forward with your life mission.
