Are we to continue in sin,
That mercy and grace may abound;
For we are corrupted within,
No honor able to be found.

How shall we that are dead to sin,
God forbid to sin still live in it;
Living any longer within,
For salvation we will forfeit.

Do you not know that all of us,
Who have been baptized in Christ;
Baptized into His death as thus,
No longer letting be enticed.

We were buried therefore with Him,
Through our baptism into death;
Sharing of His spiritual vim,
In giving new life through His breath.

Just as Christ was raised from the dead,
In the newness of life, we walk;
His body and blood we are fed,
The Father’s glory we will talk.
