Listen for Wisdom

Are you listening? Wisdom is there, waiting for you.

When the Black Wind struck, it took Ari, a small lion cub, far from his pride’s protection. While feeling lost, alone, and without hope, he encountered Eliezer, a wise golden eagle who befriended him.

“Eliezer, I know so little and my homeland seems far away.” Ari said.

Eliezer said, “You must search for wisdom, as it will defend and protect you. Wisdom will return all you have lost and more.”

Maybe your circumstances have changed as Ari’s did, and you have thoughts of feeling lost, alone, and without hope. These thoughts can either bring you into doubt and worry or cause you to find the strength to continue.

Ari faced this conflict of soul, and he learned the power of what thoughts could do. He dreamed of returning to his pride and beloved homeland. This was a dream that seemed impossible. Ari struggled, and he needed to overcome many fears.

“But how do I find this wisdom?” Ari said.

Ari leaned into thoughts of despair. If he had entertained them long enough, he would have given up. Instead, he allowed thoughts of faith and trust to take over his mind, which brought confidence instead. This opened the door to his dream, and he began a fresh start on his journey home.

Ari closed his eyes, listening in deep concentration. “The mountains! We must find the tallest mountain! That is where I will find my home.”

Wisdom comes to those who are still and listen, and to those who ask in sincerity. I encourage you to take the next step, as Ari did. The step of faith and trust in the moment of listening.

“For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6

Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

“I hope you realize that every day is a fresh start for you. That every sunrise is a new chapter in your life waiting to be written.” ~ Juansen Dizon
