“But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.” John 16:7 NIV

The disciples did not want Jesus to leave them. But as He said, the Holy Spirit could not come if Jesus did not go back to the Father. Jesus had earlier promised the disciples that He would not leave them orphan. No, He would ask the Father to send the Holy Spirit to live within them. Just as Jesus did not leave the disciples as orphans, neither does He leave His followers today. The Holy Spirit lives in the heart and soul of the true believer. He directs such one in the ways of the Lord. You are not orphan, subject to the lies and deceit of this world. Let the Holy Spirit live within you!
