A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” John 20:26-28 NIV

Close your eyes for a moment and visualize Jesus. See Him standing before you. He holds out His hands to you. Feel the holes in His hands where they were pierced by sharp nails. As you feel these holes in the hands reflect on the pain Your Master felt when this happened. He accepted all this pain that you might live forever as a son or daughter of God.

Now feel His side where He was pierced. His blood flowed out as an atonement for the forgiveness of sin for all of mankind. Yes, that includes you.

Now, when you look into Jesus’ eyes you can say “My Lord and my God. You have taken me out of the grave of this world”.
