Life and the Body

For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Luke 12:23 NIV

Life is meant to be lived to the fullest. But this does not mean that we live for our pleasure and gratitude. We are to live in the Lord, obedient to Him. Jesus let’s us know that living in His love will allow us to live life to the fullest. We will know our true purpose, the reason for which we were created. Our body is meant to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. God desires to dwell within us. He wants to sit on the throne of our very being. To do so we must surrender to Him. He will not force His way upon us. Yes, life is much more than food and the body is more than clothing. Food for our life is to be God’s word and living for Him. We are to be clothed in the Holy Spirit.
