Grief
From the boundaries of her fire
To the core of all distractions
Hope’s breath kept me captive
In the gloom of all her passions
I bore her sole desire
To embrace the air she breathes
Confined to her convictions
My intentions were deceived
Her scent of desperation
Birthed rhythm to my soul
But truth’s interpretation
Forced reasoning to fold
Chance would not release me
To the fate of what once were
It reprieved me of my purpose
To drown in the heart of her
