“Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which people walk over without knowing it.” Luke 11:44 NIV
Another strong statement to the Pharisees here. They must have been angered to the core, being compared to unmarked graves. Who would ever walk over them? Jesus tried to warn them but to no avail. To God, these Pharisees were like unmarked graves, leading the Jewish people away from God. What a steep price these Pharisees would pay for what they did. They were warned but ignored the warning.
