Covering Or Confession?

Generally speaking, sins are like mankind. The Sweet Psalmist of Israel acknowledged this in Psalm 51:5 by saying that he was conceived in sin and born in iniquity. It is a declaration of the true nature of all men.

The next important question is "What next?" No one can reverse that which had happened but you can change that nature to a new one of Christ.

It is a common thing to cover a known sin or iniquity. Have you noticed that one of the common methods of covering sin is by looking for and/or proclaiming the sins of others? People are sweet-tongued when it comes to the sins or iniquity of others. Such people are wise enough to use this method to draw people's attention away from their transgressions. This cannot help.

The words of Proverbs 28:13 make it clear thus,
"[13]He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy."
This means that whoever covers his sins, by any method or means, is directly denying himself the golden opportunity to prosper. Then who is to blame for his poverty in all forms?

A better option is confession and forsaking which will make him free. These will guarantee mercy that leads to forgiveness and opens the door to prosperity.

Beloved, the choice is yours but choose the better for your own good. Do not occupy yourself with hunting for the sins of others to cover your own. Confess and forsake your sins and iniquities to receive the mercy of the Lord. Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
