Matthew 11:1-6 (KJV) And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.
Now, when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
If I were to leave you with a word, it would simply be: Are you offended by the truth? Amen, are you offended by the truth.
Here in the scriptures, we read that John the Baptist sent two of his disciples to see if Jesus was, in fact, the Messiah who was sent to redeem his people from their sin.
Jesus confirmed his word and told John's disciples, The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
We live in a world where people are easily offended. People are offended by the gospel of Jesus Christ but not the doctrine of the devil. The Bible says in Jesus there is light, and there is no darkness at all. Any society that rejects the words of Jesus Christ but not the words of the devil is a sick society.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is not a figment of man's imagination. It is the creation of God almighty.
2 Timothy chapter 4 and verse 3, Apostle Paul tells Timothy, the young pastor, For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
We're living in an itchy ears generation.
They don't wanna hear you preach against sin, they don't wanna hear you preach against abortion, they don't wanna hear you preach against AIDS which is killing the black community.
They don't wanna hear you preach against adultery, they don't wanna hear you preach against fornication.
They wanna hear smooth words, but I'm not hear to preach smooth words, I'm hear to preach what Jesus preached.
You have an itchy ear syndrome.
When a church changes biblical truth and standards to match current culture, they're no longer following the word of God. They're following the doctrines of devils.
Luke 22:31-32 (KJV) And the Lord said unto Peter, he said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
As the body of Christ, we must strengthen our brethren with sound doctrine, amen, so that their faith faileth not.
The word of God is the truth, and the whole truth so help me God. Society rejects the truth because it's easier to believe a lie than it is to believe the truth.
That's why you need Holy Ghost, amen. He will lead you and guide you into all truth.
The truth is never received well because the hearer of the truth must deal with his sin.
One thing about human nature is that we don't like to deal with our sins. We like to deal with other people sins. But the Bible says let a man examine himself to see if he is in the faith.
We have a lot of people in church, but not a lot of people in the faith.
The purpose of church is not for entertainment purposes. It is to get right with God, and if you're a backslidder, come back to God.
The Bible says God is married to the backslidder.
However, the longer you stay away from God, the harder it is to return. But the devil doesn't want you to return. He wants you to die in your sin so you can end up in the pits of hell.
The devil's greatest desire is to make you miss out on heaven and open your eyes in hell.
The truth may hurt, but the truth is right.
Now the truth of God tells us in the book of Leviticus 18:22, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination."
An abomination is a thing that causes disgust or hatred. It is a thing that perverts the human order of God. Two men can not procreate, and neither can two women.
Many celebrities and entertainers who were once straight are now advocates of this detestable lifestyle.
Rappers who once said "no homo" are now in agreement with it.
The new world order is the gay world order where relations between a man and a woman are viewed as wrong. They're putting good for evil and evil for good.
That's why it's important to teach your children what's right and what's wrong.
These kids are being bombarded with homosexuality to the point that it's causing confusion. School administrators and school staff are saying it's OK to be gay and you don'thave to tell your parents. But the devil is a liar. It's not OK to be gay and listen to this, Your gender doesn't change.
If God created you to be a man, you're a man. If God created you to be a woman, you're a woman. Whatever you cut off or add on, your gender doesn't change.
God doesn't make mistakes. We make mistakes.
When you speak this truth, people get offended. They would rather offend Jesus instead of offending the devil.
America is a nation that serves other gods: gods that can't see and gods that can't hear. Gods who can't heal, and gods who can't deliver.
But we serve the great God, the creator of heaven and earth, who we worship in the spirit and not the flesh. Our God is the Lord of lords and the King of kings.
There is none with him and none besides him.
Jesus said said in St. John 14 and 6: I am the way, the truth, and the life: No man cometh unto the Father but by me.
The gospel doesn't change.
Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.
Jesus Christ is the only one who can forgive sin. Not a pope, not a pastor, not a politician.
The only way you can be saved is through Jesus Christ.
The Bible says in St. John 3 and 36: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
You must repent of your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. That's the truth.
You must come through the cross of Jesus Christ, or-you-are-damned.
Just because family members are praying for you doesn't mean you're saved.
You gotta come to Jesus for yourself.
Those prayers will only take you to a certain extent, and then you have to make a decision.
One leg in the church and one leg in the world will get you two legs in hell.
Play time is over. It's time to mean business with God.
There's only one Lord, one faith, and one baptism.
One Gospel, one message, and we're all baptized into one Spirit.
Give the Lord a praise. Amen.
