Everything that happens NOW Is Important

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5 RSV

When I heard this from a pastor, I thought ‘how profound.’ Nothing slips by God that He is not taking notice. Recognizing how we may find grace awakening through everything we face. It is up to us to find God’s sufficiency and praise, for each and every circumstance of our living. Exercising the measure of faith assigned (Romans 12:3) to see us through, challenges and brings blessing to give thanks.

Throughout my years, God’s  support was always available when I needed it, even if I did not always recognize it at the time. I became a single dad over 52 year ago, to be responsible and raise my three older children, who were then ages 7,4,and 17 months old. I was witnessing grace to me and finding mercy in those hours of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

To share one of God’s now moments, when a neighbor told be about a singles bible study sponsored by a local church. It was there God brought Yvonne  into my life. She gave up her teaching career after we married to become homemaker and mother to those children. God blessed us with two more children of our own, to become a family of seven.

A year and half now since our Lord sought to take my wife to be with him. God gave us 49 years together. With much blessing and challenges together. Once more you might say I am a single father, but now with six wonderful grandchildren. I am still growing and learning… everything that happens now is very important to recognize how; ‘I wait for the Lord, yes indeed, my soul does wait and in his word I hope!’ Psalm 130:5  

 Father, even now is important for teaching me, to say ‘Thank You.’  AMEN
