The Holy Bible is full of stories of people whose lives can bring about good transformation in the lives of readers. One of such Bíble characters is Gideon who was a young man used mightily by the Lord to rescue His people from servitude to the Midianites.

Let us begin to consider the virtues that are worthy of emulation in the life of Gideon. If he could have the good attributes, you can do so as well. He was a Judge in Israel for many years. You can also attain greatness if you imbibe the same virtues.

Gideon, Separated Man.
Judges 6:1
"[1]Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord. So the Lord delivered them into the hand of Midian for seven years,"

No generation has ever been good. Saints live among the wicked in the world, even today.

The children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord and were punished for it. They became slaves to serve their enemies. Their enemies impoverished them leaving them no sustenance. They were living their lives in constant fear.

Although Gideon was not a participant in the evil-doing, he took part in the penalty or suffering of God's people.

How do you know that he was not among the evildoers? The Holy Scriptures declares,
[12]And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!” Judges 6:12.

He saw an Angel physically and he lived. Who addressed him as "a mighty man of valor". Can you please clearly see that he was preserved and separated for his assignment?

A separated man is always a vessel of honor in the hands of God. Beloved, are you well separated from the evils of your generation? Are you carried away by the wind of youthful lusts? Repent today and put on a new leaf so that you can become a vessel of honor in the hands of your Maker. Be like Gideon to become like Gideon. Remain blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord. Shalom!
