How do you want your eggs? Many order sunny side up; while others choose from offerings of scrambled, soft boiled, poached, French toast, breakfast quiche, eggs Benedict or hard boiled. We all want eggs at a reasonable price; today’s costs have ‘buyers scrambling’ across town to compare store prices.

Get cracking; it’s time for breakfast!

“Is bland food eaten without salt?
Is there flavor in an egg white?
I refuse to touch them;
they are like contaminated food (Job 6:6-7 HCSB)”

Don’t blame the hens for a bland taste or high egg prices.

They haven’t confided in me; yet, I have slept in a hen house.

Don’t worry; there were no hens in sight. They’d left the premises years before when owned by my Grandma and Grandpa Ford. Leo and Martha Ennis; parents of my best friend Carol, had purchased the big house and properties. They converted the hen house building into young daughter Carol’s playhouse. It was perfect for girlfriend pajama parties.

Carol invited me and school friends to spend the night in her hen house. It began as a typical fun sleep over with chats, giggles and snacks. One of the girls changed everything when she decided to go home; not easy to do when home was 4 miles away. Kind hearted Mr.Ennis got out of bed to drive a fearful little girl home to mommy and daddy.
