Unsure of a new beau, the girl removes petals from a wildflower.
‘He loves me… He loves me not’…
A new bride is arrayed in a beautiful white gown as she tosses her bouquet. Superstitious, single young hopefuls believe the one who catches the posies will be next down the aisle.
I cast aside superstition and cling to scripture. Floral bouquets will fade away. The Father's love and provision is everlasting.
“The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:
‘Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you (Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV).”
Sacred Scripture assures me of the Father’s love and providential care.
“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these (Matthew 6:28-29 NKJV).”
Why worry?
