Darkness covers the deep
Shadows surround the space
Night over takes the day
And mourning sweeps into the morning


The sun refuses to shine
The moon refuses to bloom
The stars won’t light up the sky
Dawn is far from coming

Within these walls
Are ghostly figures
Scarry haunting eyes
And reflection of untold pain

Wait……

I sense something anew
Different and enchanting

There could be light
From around the walls
May be hope of some sort
An escape to safety

Well hidden
In here although
Yet your love
Captures me
Within these walls.
