The above expression and various versions of it occupy the air in various forms anytime a New Year approaches and this continues into the New Year for days, even weeks.

The statement comes from one well-wisher to another in love, irrespective of their status. So many loads of good things are attached to the expression, "Happy New Year".

Have you observed that all these things are wishes? They are good and glorious wishes that need to be actualized by the receiver of the wishes. So many of such wishes have been wasted. Do you ask, "Why?" The answer is not far-fetched It is the addressee's inability or unwillingness to become new.

Those who wish him a Happy New Year never attach any condition to it. Whereas reaping the best wishes requires the newness of the receiver.

Happy New You!
A happy new year is meant for a happy new man. Change is a part of living. A man who wants to remain in his old state of life to receive new things may engage himself in self-deceit. An old bottle is not fit for new wine.

The Apostle of Christ captures the picture right when he reveals in 2 Corinthians 5:
"[17]Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
For all things to come through in every new year, becoming a new man is essential. It is then that new wine(New Year's Wishes) can be preserved by a new bottle.

Galatians 6 renders the truth this way,
" [15]For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation".

It is not a matter of tribe, race, language, or religion, it is all about becoming new in your thoughts, words, and deeds. These should synchronize with the Scriptures. Forsaking the old lifestyle to embrace being a new man in Christ to display His attributes for great benefits.

Therefore, I say Happy New Year and Happy New You in 2025.
Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord.
